Welcome to a site about creating presentations with Microsoft Power Point. I taught Effective Business Presentations at Seneca College in the School of Marketing and eBusiness for 10 years. Here are helpful ideas based on work with hundreds of students developing slide shows. I like to keep things simple. There's no guide for advanced bells and whistles here. You will find practical tips in the Basics section, links to tutorials and images in Resources, information about putting presentations on the Web in Publishing. A special feature of this site is my Galleries of examples to inspire you and on which you may model your next presentation. The more I work with presentation software, the more I am convinced that very little text is needed on slides. After all, it is Power Point, not Power Sentence or Power Paragraph. Text on slides is best when it forms the "headlines" for the stories appropriate for the presenter to best reach and engage his or her target audience.
