- CONTENT SET/ SETUP is for you, not for the presentation slides
- ORDER OF ITEMS - logical, progression in priority order
- USE QUESTIONS - engage and promote participation
- AUDIENCE POINT OF VIEW - what will interest them?
- KNOW EQUIPMENT - allow for things like size of screen
- DRESS/GROOMING - appropriate for audience and for topic
- WORK WITH OUTLINE - doublecheck organization of material
- USE POINTS - limit text to most important ideas
- USE SPECIAL EFFECTS - only when needed for line by line points
- CONSISTENCY - in font size and style and in transitions
- BOLD FONTS - may be needed for some backgrounds to be readable
- DOUBLECHECK - proofread material for accuracy in spelling and grammar
- MOVE THINGS - rearrange text and graphics for balanced layouts
- REHEARSE - practice with your presentation in same setting if possible
- KNOW TOPIC - tell about ideas - don't read them from the screen
