Subject: The Best Advice
Many people who have had Selia or have taken the SSC
100 course know that that course was not as challenging as the others you
might have had during that semester. One of the major things you will have
to do is not take this course lightly. At first, the projects seem fairly
simple but can be very irritating and time consuming. To avoid this, you
MUST go to class. For most of the assignments, Selia will give a tutorial
on how to effectively use the tools needed to do the assignment. So BE
THERE when she does this. And finally, continuously check the MySeneca
site for any updates. This is the place where the prof. communicates with
you regarding everything from the course. And don't forget to read the
read the required text. It contains some very useful information and tips.
Subject: Complete all assignments in advance!!
Well,
this has definitely been an interesting semester, and
I have learned a lot. If I have to give advice to the students starting
this course, I would definitely tell them to attend all classes, and make
sure their assignments are completed ahead of time. The reason I say this
is because the assignments, a lot of them, deal with webpages, and sites,
it is a smart idea to complete them with time to spare, so then all you
have to do is edit them. The hardest part of this course is making sure
your webpage shows up and that all the links are in tact. It is a smart
thing to complete everything with time to spare, so that you can fix something
if you need to. Furthermore, come to class, Selia is a great teacher, who
you can learn a lot from. It is important to attend class.
Finally: Best of Luck, it is a fun course, and you will enjoy it!!!
Subject: Take it from me!
The best way to be ahead in this course is to do assignments
as soon as they are given, its so easy to forget them and before you know
it time runs out on you! Ask, Ask, Ask and Ask some more, dont be afraid
to say you don't know, because if you don't you'll remain ignorant, and
that's not cool... and besides if you happen to have the great Dr. Karsten
as a prof. life in MKT224 becomes even sweeter. Try to have fun, as much
fun as possible, it makes your work much more interesting.
Subject: advice
Do all the work, it's worth it and do it as soon as it's
assigned to you so that if you are having any difficulty you have enough
time to get helpand get it done!!! TRUST ME!!!!
Subject: Dont drop this course!!!!
I got stuck taking this course in 4th semester and it
has been such frustration!
Do it in semester 2 and pick your group wisely, or you will get stuck doing all the work!
And if people aren't pulling their weight TELL THE TEACHER and let them get the crappy marks.
Subject: best advice!
The best advice i can give to future students taking
this course would be:
1)pay attention in class
2)Use the website throughly!
3)and finally, communicate with your teacher to confront
them with problems you have so they can help you out.
All of these things will help out future students in becoming successful in this course.
Subject: My Advice...
My personal advice on the course would be to check the
my seneca site, and be on top of things. Keep up with all the forums and
make sure that they are complete on time. They are easy marks, that will
help your GPA. The only problem that I had in the course was that I did
not complete some of the forums on time, and I probably should have put
some more effort into my presentations.
Subject: The best advice to MRK 224 students
To acheive a good grade in this course, the most important
factor is to participate in class. Don't be shamed when you speak in front
of the class. Don't skip any lessons, otherwise you will be behind. "Practise
makes perfect" It is really really true. I also can feel that my presentation
skills have improved a lot. Although it is still not good enough, I think
i will be better.
Remember Guys, Don't be panic when you speak to the class~!~!~!

Advice for Marketing Presentations
1-Make sure you come to class, it is very important to
not miss any classes even when they are at 8:00 am. Trust me missing one
day feels like you fell behind a week.
2-Read all the weekly notes they are there to help you.
When projects are due or when you need to have something done for the next
class that is where you will find the information.
3-Do all the forums, it is an easy way to get marks.
Each forum is easy to complete so insure you do them every week. It is
easy to fall behind with the forums so ensure you make a routine when you
first start the class.
4-If you do not know how to use power point to its full
potential then ensure to read about creating power point presentation on
the course homepage.
5-Before starting the team websites make sure you know
how to create them otherwise it can be very frustrating…buy a webpage book.
The guys in the learning commons really help too!
6-When choosing your team ensure you are not just choosing
them because they are your friends. Good teammates can really help you
succeed in this class. When you can work well together as a team and share
advice on ways to present better, those are the team mates you want.
7-When you do not understand something talk to Selia
she will help. Don’t be afraid to ask for help (that could make a difference
between an A and a C).
8-Within the first week of class try to get comfortable
with the classroom and its surroundings. This can really help when you
are presenting.
9-Know how to use the black board system to its full
potential, this class revolves around the computer. So you need to know
how to use the computer and be comfortable with it.
10-Last by not least be comfortable when presenting,
be positive. Know what you are saying and convince the audience that you
know your stuff. The difference between a good presenter and a poor one
is to be comfortable, positive, know your information and interact with
the audience. Grab the audience’s attention at the beginning of the presentation.
Always start off with a hook, think of your presentation like an essay,
and make the audience want to know more.
**This class can be tons of fun if you stay on top and don’t procrastinate. Good luck and if you follow these tips you will succeed in Selia’s class, she is a great teacher!**
Subject: *~* The Best Advice *~*
The best advice I can give to the following classes are
as follows:
1) Choose your team wisely. The group I had was awesome
cuz we all got along great and that probably somewhat helped our marks
2) In general this class is not hard, come to class (even
if you don't have to present) and you'll get participation marks.
3) Make sure to pay attention to the tutorials for the
web pages and the team web pages, they will help. Also buy/borrow a web
page book from the library or whereever. If you have friends that are in
Computer Programming it helps too. You can find all you need regarding
web pages on the net.
Subject: Greatest Advice You Will Ever Hear....
GO TO CLASS...and i am not even joking about this one.
Normally with any other subject you could miss one class and then catch
up by reading the text book. However, for this class there are alot of
projects with consist of extensive instructions that everyone must hear
inorder to get it done fast and get it done right. Another thing is don't
leave the project until the last minute. Most of the projects are on the
computer and sometimes computers are not actually that friendly. Also when
you working in a group it is harder to get things done compared to if you
were doing it solo...so then again try not to leave things to the last
minute because then there will come a time where you can;t get a hold of
anyone and things just don't get done
Just follow these two points and the course will be so
enjoyable.
Subject: Advice
My advice to be successful is do your work. All of it,
dont neglect the little things such as these fourms. I did and i regret
it, so many easy marks gone done the drain that i cant make up no matter
how good my other work was. Also, take control of your groups, dont let
anyone slack. My group was one of the most successful groups cuz we all
took control at certain points in the semester.
Subject: Best Advice......
Pay attention and GO TO CLASS. I know it may not seem
like a big deal but if you don't go to class you will miss so much. You
also must pay attention because if you don't you will have to ask questions
later (Selia gets angry when you don't pay attention he he). Other then
that all I can say is try your best and work hard and if you don't get
it right away or if you have problems ask for help and you will achieve
what you want. Also don't sweat the small stuff.
Subject: The best advice
My advice for people taking this course is STAY ON TOP
OF YOUR WORK! That is the most important if you do that you should be just
fine. Also, no matter what you do be creative, talk to the audience and
most importantly don't be afraid. It really shows when you're up there
in front of your peers.
Subject: my advice....
-Go to all the classes and read the weekly notes, so
you know whats going on.
-Hand in assignments on time.
-Time management.

Subject: do your best
being confident has a lot to do with being a good presenter.also

practicing your presentation with friends is helpful.
Subject: The best Advice - try my best
It's very interesting and useful class in this semester,
and I have learned more. I'm not good at speaking in English - it is my
biggest weakness, but I always try my best. I appreciate our professor
continuously give me many chances to talk to everyone. Now I am proud of
my achievement which I can make use of my computer to do different assignments,
presentation, PowerPoint, webpage. By the way, I have some advice to the
students:

3) Make sure your webpage shows up and all the links
are in tack.
4) No panic when you stand in front of the classroom.
5) Choose responsible team-mates
However, we all will enjoy it!!!

Subject: The best advice~
In my opinion, the participation is very important in
this class. This class has a lot of team works, so you need to have a good
relationship with your classmates, don't be afraid to talk with your classmates
and teacher. It is good for you to practice your presentation. Besides,
you need to control your working time and set a deadline for youself to
finish your work, if not you will get trouble because the prepration of
presentation is very important.
Finally, hope you will have a nice time in this class.
I am so enjoy to do the project with my classmates.
Subject: best advice
My best advice for future students is to truly try your
best.
This course can be really fun, and if you try your best
it will reflect in your work, and more importantly, in your presentation.
Subject: Advice
I think the best advice I can give for this class is
to participate. It helps you understand what is going on and helps you
stay on top of things. Enjoy what you are doing and don't be afraid to
ask questions. With the team work make sure you choose a group who has
the same interests as you so your website can reflect that. As well make
sure you utilize the help around you as much as you need to, teachers,
peers, websites, they are all there to help you!
