2. Ask for help if needed. DON'T be shy
3. Treat others as you would like to be treated.
4. Have fun and be creative. This can end up making you a lot of MONEY>
$ makes the world go round.
SAD BUT TRUE: If you don't have it you are nothing!
LIFE will be more difficult. NB
If I can please give out some friendly advice. Try to live life with
a smile on your face. Life can be hard and believe me I now better than
anyone, but being mad all the time can not solve anything. I have found
that if your in a good mood the people around you can't help them selves
to smile back.

My advice to every one is do not waste time, because it is the on thing
that never comes back. Take advantage of the course which is I think is
the best. In my three ears in Senenca this was the best time I had, because
the teacher lets you do anything. Plus she is very creativbe and understanding.
One more thing do not leave things to the last because a work done in a
hurry will not show your actual potential. Besides this just sit back and
relax do not take things seriously. AF
I would advise future students to get started on their webpages early
if they want it to look good because it takes time to make a GOOD website.
I wish I had been able to use a different web editor; I had Front Page
Editor on my computer, but did not realize until later that it probably
would have been fine to use it. LF
My advice is: hone up your computer skills before attempting this course.
It is very challenging to those who are not computer literate. It will
be good practice to get a copy of MS Publisher 2000. Using this program
you can create very nice web pages. GG
Before you get started in the course I would just like to say that
it has a lot to offer so go to class! I think the class will teach students
about effective presentations and how to design web-sites. But if you keep
up with the weekly forums it also offers knowledge. Some of the things
you are asked to talk about will require reading which in turn gives you
the knowledge of what to talk about. I reccommend to keep up with the forums
because they are relatively easy and a good way to use your class time.
Also, key note; when doing any presentation in Selia's class be prepared,
and sell your ideas! I think everyone will find that designing a web site
is fun and will give you an asset you can use. Important note when designing
sites; get ahead of yourself so it is not left until the last minute. The
most important note; have fun with what you do and for the websites you
design chose a topic you are interested in. It will make everything alot
more fun and also keep you interested. BK
This really is not an overly difficult course. It is based on skills
that you should have already gained from previous computer classes, and
enhances them! This course is, in my opinion, all about time management.
You are marked on weekly forms, projects, presentations, and of course
attendence. It is a truley fun and enjoyable course and Selia is a great
prof! Good luck! CM
Hey what can I say about this course except that it ROCKS!! I really
mean that, it tought me a lot about using your time well. I really never
knew how much time and effort it takes to make a good website. The advice
that I would give to next years students that will be taking this course
is "Don' wait till the last minute to work on your assignments!". I really
mean this because you can tell if the work was done the night before, it
really looks cheasy unless you really, really know what your doing but
most of us aren't professionals so give yourself a week or two to do the
assingment before the deadline and of course Mrs. Karsten will also give
you hints and tips as well so it's all worthwile at the end! I also would
like to mention that I never thought making website would actually be this
much fun and I am really interested in pursing this career as well as a
web designer or even anything in the e-coomerce business. I would like
to thank Mrs. Karsten for teaching us what she did and also offering this
course to us as well. I guess i'm kissing Ass here but i'm being honest
and also remember that kissing Ass gets you far in Life, just ask Brent!

Say no to crack. Go to bed before 8pm. Skip school every Friday. Do
your homework. Pay attention in class. Do not leave everything to the last
minute. Stay on teachers good side. Hand in homework on time. Do not expect,
and you will not be disappointed. DM
Well. . . first of all don't skip class and don't procrastinate. .
. the assignment will not go away! INVEST IN AN AGENDA BOOK!!!! It's well
worth it! Make your own dead lines and stick to them. And last but not
least:
DON'T GET SICK!!!!!
I learned that the hard way! You miss too much work and some people
WILL NOT believe you! NN
The best advice I can give for to students taking E-Commerce next year
are:
1. do your work,
2. pick good groups to work in,
3. don't leave things till the last minute,
4. don't be afraid to show your creative side,
5. take pride in your work,
6. relax and have fun!!! PN
The one important thing to remember when in this course is that your
deadlines are very important. It sneaks up on you when you are not prepared.
A student is this course must realize that there are a lot of work to be
completed in order to get an "A" grade in this course. If you complete
each forum in the specifies week it is much easier rather than going back
and doing it later. Also, if you are having difficulty ask the teacher.
Your quuestion will be answered and your life will be much easier. JP
Don't fall behind with the weekly forums, because you will be sitting
here the last week of school like me and catching up with them.I think
this class chould stay thesame as we had it because everything that we
learned is beneficial and will be used in the future. All the projects
and the forums have helped me alot and improved my computer skills.E-commerce
is growing rapidly and big companies are always looking for people with
knowledge of the internet and e-commerce. The thinge that Selia will teach
you will become very useful to you in the future, i know because they helped
me. Thanks Selia and have a good trip. AR
I would just like to take this opportunity to thank Selia for all her
help during this course. I found the class to be helpful and it thought
me a lot of skills which will be helpful in the work force. One thing I
would change in this course is to probably give another assignment instead
of the book report. This class gives students some experience with presentation
skills. Since Selia has participated in drama before this can be quite
helpful. For student doing this course don't procastinate with your assignments
give yourself ample time because you will feel the wrath of the pressure
if you don't. Good luck everyone and have a great summer.SS
The only advise I can give Is #1 Stay on track and stick to your ideas
or else you'll find yourself way behind and #2 Pick your group members
wisely because like it or not it can make or break your whole semester.
Good LUCK!! YV
The following list below outlines the various methods in which a student
can be successful in the MRK 610 course: 1). Don't let anyone intimidate
you - especially the professor. Be patient, and ask a lot of questions;
2). Do your homework - visit your local public library or go to a bookstore
and purchase books that specifically deal with E-Commerce concepts; 3).
Let your imagination run wild - experiment with various animations, backgrounds
as well as fonts. Ask for a second opinion from a fellow classmate or professor.
Here are some great animation sites that I believe are effective to incorporate
in a student's
Web site: 1). www.copzilla.com; 2). www.animationcity.com; and 3).
www.animationfactory.com. and finally 4). Inspiration(s): don't limit yourself
to only certain Web sites. Visit musuems, art exhibits or Web sites off
of the Internet. Most of the above sources mentioned are quite effective
and may give a student some kind of lead way to build an effective Web
site! PV
you want advice?.... well you came to the right place. I'm an expert
on giving people suggestions rather than myself. Two words...KEEP UP!!!
don't fall behind, don't procrastinate and for the love of god don't be
late for class. Karsten hates it!
That's about it, i'm not so chatty today for i have felt the wrath of
the last minute assignment, today i died and then was reborn again... My
presentation was an outerbody experience that won't soon be forgotten.
REMEMBER: the hard way is for loosers & eckisthedevil! LZ
