Activity
Each team is assigned one chapter for developing an interactive
activity - one that involves the class
Each team member reads the chapter and takes notes.
Notes are compared. The team discusses the chapter.
The team chooses one main theme from the chapter as being
an important theme to emphasize in the Class Activity
The team conducts research, looking at the online resources
for this chapter and theme. Resources are
1. at the MySeneca Class in the course documents http://my.senecacollege.ca
2. at the POWER textbook website http://www.mcgrawhill.ca/college/feldmanPower/
3. on a video for this topic in Audio Visual (ask your
librarian)
4. in reference materials found in the library
The team brainstorms to decide on an activity to conduct in class that will demonstrate the theme chosen from the chapter. For example, they may want to develop a quiz or a survey or get students to participate in a game.
1. What materials are needed (props, handouts)?
2. What will each member of the team do?
3. What are the learning outcomes of the activity?
4. When will the team rehearse?
5. Can the activity be done fully in 20 minutes?
6. Who will write the summary of what happens to hand
in?
