You may bring a dictionary and a thesaurus to consult during the test. You may also bring a one-page hand-written outline of the major events/characters of the play (no photocopies).

You will be given questions that test your knowledge of the contents of the play The Adventures of a Black Girl in Search of God. You will not be asked to interpret the play.

You should be able to describe or identify:

• the principal settings of the play: time, place, society
• the names and main characteristics of the various characters, and
• the plot or main events of the play,

If you miss the test for legitimate reasons such as illness or a court appearance, please let me know and I will arrange for you to write an alternative test in the test centre. You should report to the test centre within 48 hours of your return to the college. You may bring only a dictionary to the Test Centre.
