

Writers in the humanities (philosophy, history, literature, language, etc.), and the arts (music, visual arts, theatre, etc.) use Modern Language Association (MLA) style to reference or document sources. For college and university students, the MLA Handbook for Writers of Research Papers, is generally recognized as the most reliable reference book available for students.
