Taught in the York University Professional Writing Program. Developed programs and curricula, student evaluation criteria, and professional development materials and activities. Represented department on academic committees.

 

Canadian Centre for Professional Coaching                                                  Founded June 2002

Founded and directed an organization of professional life and business coaches; developed and delivered workshops and teleclasses through Institute; advocated for coaching Canada-wide; and matched coaches with clients. Coached executives, small business owners and individuals, specializing in problem employees.

Consulted on documentation processes, managed publications projects and created software documentation from concept to publication. Wrote complex technical material, organized and edited information about enterprise data to e-content transformation components including parsers, generators, development tools, and batch control software. Established project management guidelines, and introduced software development processes. Senior Member & SIG Manager, STC; instructor at Seneca College. Developed Transporter prototype.

Directed a team of technical communicators to write, edit, research and produce to deadline multiple volumes of technical publications for Net-centric client\server e-business applications, relational databases and document management systems, content and design services for intranet and external web site, and XRM e-business strategy; liaised with Marketing, R&D, Professional Services, and Sales to set technical direction and align communications with company positioning; edited websites and marketing collaterals; managed technical implementation projects; supervised usability assessments and interface design; recruited and trained staff. Taught Technical Communication at Seneca College part time.
