here
- I am

for Oxford University Press
Past
Announcements
- 2010: Nominated in TVO's Best
Lecturer competition
- 2006: Guest
expert on Style
by Jury: I was invited
by the W Network’s Style
by Jury
makeover show to help one of
their candidates learn how to laugh again. It was quite a challenge.
Kelly had held back her laughter and her smile for so long that she
didn't think she'd ever be able to laugh again. She was even afraid to
laugh because of painful memories it brought back for her. I wasn't
sure we'd be successful. It was tense there for a while. We weren't at
all certain that her laughter would come. I had to gain Kelly's trust
in a very short time, and let her know that it was safe to open
up and laugh. On the show, you can really see her struggle.
Style by Jury, Season 4, Episode #058 The Main Event (Kelly),
aired on the
W Network
on June 6, 2006 at 8:30 p.m., June 14, 2006 at 8:30 p.m., and June 19,
2006 at 8:00
p.m.
You can probably catch reruns on the W Network at various times.
- 2006: I
presented “Podcasting and Vidcasting: The Future of Technical
Communication” at the
Society for Technical Communication annual conference in May 2006. See

access to a vidcast of the presentation. Check out the Conferences section for other presentations.
- My new
book “Selling with Video” is in production. Based
on my experiences with business video
and vlogging, as well as case studies of successful video sales
techniques, this book explores the practical ways to grow your business
by using video in selling.

IV, my presentation for Seneca’s
annual Pop
Culture conference (date to be announced), will deal with Internet
Mysteries and Avatar Skills. Stay tuned for more info. Find
